Pontiac Solstice might have gone off the stage in Automobile drama, but it will breathe afresh with Tauro Sport Auto revealing their V8 Spider. Well yes, the Spanish automaker has used Pontiac Solstice as a foundation for its V8 spider that seems to borrow some design cues from Alfa Romeo C8 Competizione, Fisker Karma and Nissan 350Z.
Nevertheless, to remind all of you that Pontiac Solstice was also known/sold as Saturn Sky, Opel GT and Daewoo G2X. Featuring bespoke bodywork, the two-seater roadster from spain is an elegant beast on the road.
Beating as the heart of Tauro V8 Spider is a GM sourced 6.2-liter V8 LS3 E-Rod engine that develops a health 434hp and 432 lb/ft of torque. Engine is aligned with six-speed manual transmission. Well, if that’s not enough for you, you can always go for performance packages from the company that can take the power tally to as high as 641hp.
Other noticeable features of Tauro V8 Spider include limited slip differential independent suspension on both axles, ventilated disc brakes with piston calipers and an optional GM automatic paddle-shift transmission. Inside, leather clad dashboard, Alcantara trim and Aluminum gear knob in cars that comes with manual transmission.
As per the manufacture, only 30 models will be created and each will be trimmed to customer’s specifications. The deal will cost around $126,699 to the potential customers.
