Aston Martin: the Company, the Cars and the Badge

In 1964’s Goldfinger – the third film in the James Bond franchise – Sean Connery’s 007 is supplied with a silver Aston Martin DB5 complete with bulletproof glass, machine guns and a passenger-side ejector seat. Thus began an association between two British icons that has lasted fifty years.

The success of Goldfinger lead to an increase in sales of the DB5 and the rise of Aston Martin’s profile. The car’s appearance in the film was so popular that it was brought back for the sequel, Thunderball. In fact, an Aston Martin has appeared in eleven James Bond films to date.

To celebrate 100 years of the Aston Martin marque, Autoweb has created this stylish and informative infographic about the company, the cars and the badge.
