Cycling has always been a cost effective and eco-friendly solution to any other mode of transportation that uses fossil fuels. However, the increasingly modernized cities of the world and availability of various gas-powered vehicles that are considerably quicker do not promote the use of latter. But that surely doesn’t mean it’s outdated and completely discarded for day to day travel.

Introducing with you here is a specially created bicycle that takes pollution protecting techniques to a whole new level. The bicycle is created specially to combat the poor air quality in the streets of China’s capital city, Beijing. Created by Beijing-based artist Matt Hope as a healthy solution for the 20 million denizens of the capital city, the bicycle is christened as Breathing Bike.

Aimed to provide the common masses as a cost effective, practical yet efficient solution for daily commutes, Matt equipped the Breathing Bike with dust filter at the rear which is combined with a 5,000-volt power generator and a fighter jet helmet which is equipped with mask. A healthy solution that also helps spread awareness about the rising pollution level, Breathing Bike takes form out of nothing but random parts and also owes to Matt’s creativity and engineering know how.

Inspired by the lung clogging conditions of Beijing’s air, this is a typical solution that not only makes you reach your destination without polluting the environment wee bit but also helps make the vicinity a better place to breath.
