From the land of rising sun that has given us Prius, here comes something really different. A Japanese company, Modi Corp, that deals in prototyping vehicles presents a built it yourself electric vehicle. The electric vehicle is christened as Pius and is a single-seater small vehicle that can also be registered as class-1 motorized bicycle in the country. Aimed to provide a vehicle for learning and knowhow of electric vehicle structure to universities, technical colleges and car mechanic schools, Modi Corp is eying to release the vehicle in the spring of 2013. The Pius electric EV has almost all the functions and comes complete with steering, suspension, functional running lights and lightweight body, thus allowing the customer to make their very own EV. No word on the pricing as of now, but it seems a good product to educate customers about the electric vehicles. Via: Tech-on
