Two Harley-Davidson fuel tanks get Papal blessings for 110th anniversary

Harley-Davidson is to celebrate 110th anniversary in June next year. In order to gear up for the big occasion, Harley-Davidson is in Italy this week for pre-party planning. However, there is also a special thing that the brand can really rejoice. Willie G. Davidson, the grandson of Harley-Davidson founders and his son Bill Davidson who is also the vice president of the motorbike brand presented two commemorative Harley-Davidson fuel tanks to Pope Benedict XVI in Vatican City.

The fuel tanks were signed by Pope and will be mounted on two Harley-Davison engines, wherein one will be displayed in Harley-Davidson Museum and other will be auctioned and all the proceedings will help support Good Samaritan Foundation. With Pope blessing two Harley-Davidson fuel tanks this week marks the launching of countdown to 110th anniversary next year which will include a parade through the heart of Rome, a papal bike blessing at St. Peter’s Square, two headlining concerts at  Stadio Olimpico and a grand party at Port of Ostia.
