Venus Superyacht – the last masterpiece from Steve Jobs unveiled

While most of you might surely be thinking at times what Steve Job’s last product was, let me tell you it wasn’t a gadget but a tech savvy superyacht. The yacht is christened after Roman Goddess of love and beauty, Venus. Designed by none other than Steve Jobs himself, Venus is an 80 meters long superyacht made entirely of lightweight aluminum. Steve Jobs’ special yacht, which is unveiled after one year of his death, features a special glass designed by chief engineer of the Apple stores. The glass not only forms the ten feet high windows across the hull and the main living area that stands ten feet high and forty feet long but also provides structural support to the yacht.

Sticking to his clutter free philosophy, outer surface of the yacht is designed sleek, clean and attractive while the interior cabin is fitted with a set-up of seven 27-inch iMacs for its control room. At the time of Steve Job’s death, the yacht was under construction and recently appeared for the first time in the Dutch city of Aalsmeer. The Steve Job’s yacht was built by Dutch custom yacht building company Feadship and the first photographs of the yacht on De Vries shipping yard of the builder was published at the Apple news site ‘One More Thing’. The superyacht is identical to the description given by Walter Isaacson in his Steve Jobs biography.  There is no word on the manufacturing cost or when the yacht will set on sale from the manufacturer or Steve Job’s family either but the coherent whole of the yacht is surely more than sum of its parts and the cost involved.
