Superman-Inspired Kia Optima Hybrid 5

We already talked about the DC Entertainment’s “We Can Be Heroes” campaign in the past and introduced you with Batman themed Kia Optima SX that was built to support the campaign about raising awareness and fighting hunger in the horns of Africa. However, here is just another vehicle from Kia to support the campaign, Optima Hybrid.

Among all the high end cars and others that were revealed at the 2013 Chicago Auto Show, this Superman inspired Optima Hybrid mesmerized the show goers more than any other car did. What better if it has a noble cause? Yes you read it right. This one-of-a-kind Kia optima hybrid is a collaboration of Kia, DE Entertainment and Super Street Magazine.

The metallic blue and red hybrid sedan is designed to bring a ray of hope to the draught and famine affected people in Africa. It is seventh vehicle in 10 month deal between the automaker, tuner and Comic Book Company who together to built vehicles themed on all the Justice League Characters and will also include not yet seen eighth vehicle that will combine all the heros in one.

As the vehicle is themed on Superman, it is painted in metallic blue and has red chrome accents while the emblem of the world’s most famous superhero shines on the hood and on rear end. The theme is carried inside too and it can be seen in the form of custom upholster and Superman’s shield on the seats as well as airbag covers.

The changes are confined to cosmetics only with no changes whatsoever made in Kia Optima Hybrid’s gasoline-electric powertrain. Other noticeable features include flared fenders, 22” wheels and adjustable suspension with its controls in the cockpit.
