Eco conscious Porsche fan converts his 911 into an EV

What you will do if you are one of the diehard Porsche 911 fans and are environmentally conscious too but not at the cost of losing your beloved drive. Well, it’s is but obvious that you need to build such a drive yourself. This is what Kurt, who is a Porsche fan and an eco friendly soul, has exactly done. This man has taken his Porsche 911 and chopped the engine, gearbox, fuel tank, exhaust, radiator and almost everything that Porsche comes out of the factory with.

After stripping his Porsche 911 to bare bones, Kurt fitted it with high power motor, a controller and 72 lithium phosphate batteries that weighs well over 500 pounds. He started driving his electric Porsche 911 a few months back and clocked well over 300 miles on the car but the journey is marked with many hassles, kinks and hiccups but he successfully removed the bugs to finally cruise it on high speeds, 100mph and above. This also helps him test the range of electric Porsche 911 which he rates around 40 miles per charge. Well, that’s not what Kurt expected but he hopes to better it in coming times.
