Mercedes, Silver Arrows Marine presents sea-going Granturismo

After ruling the roads with its ultra luxurious cars and having already ventured into the sky with Eurocopter EC145 luxury helicopter, Mercedes-Benz now eyes the blue water. For the purpose, Mercedes joins hands with Silver Arrows Marine to a create Benz Yacht. Dubbed the ‘Silver Arrow’ of the seas, the yacht is a sea-going Granturismo that marks an exercise to mold Mercedes-Benz design language to incorporate in a boat design and what comes out is more than surprising. This is one of the coolest things we have ever came across after UltraLuxum CXL Trimaran, that parks McLaren MP4 inside, came into being this summer.

Measuring 46 feet in length, the Mercedes-Benz Granturismo yacht might not be too big to incorporate facilities for too many people at a time or park one of its cars inside either, but its design and layout is identical to luxury touring roadsters form the early decades of 20th century. The Merecedes-Benz designers will look after the layout, using the space properly as well as give shape to the interior and exterior together with selecting the right material and color combinations that are true to the spirit of the Mercedes. Silver Arrows Marine, on the other, will take care of technical equipments and yacht’s construction.

Mercedes and Silver Arrows Marine presented what appears to be a luxury motor cruiser for the ultimate fun on the waves at 2012 Monaco Yacht Show. The yacht is set to come to the market 2013. No pricing details are available as of now but don’t expect anything bearing Mercedes-Benz badge will ever come cheap.
